TODAY NICARAGUA | President Daniel Ortega leads the ranking of presidents in Latin America and the Caribbean, according to the Center of Studies and Data ( Centro de Estudios y Datos – CEDATOS), on the level of management of their administration.
Ortega heads the list with a 75% approval rate.
Rouding out the top 10 are:
- Argentina’s new president (taking office Jan. 2016), Mauricio Macri, with 71%;
- Danilo Medina of the Dominican Republic, with 69%;
- Evo Morales, of Bolivia, with 57%;
- Juan Orlando Hernández, of Honduras, with 53%;
- Panama’s president, Juan Carlos Varela, with 52%;
- Raúl Castro, of Cuba, with 47%;
- Juan Manuel Santos, president of Colombia, with 42%;
- Rafael Correa, of Ecuador, with 41%; and
- Enrique Peña Nieto, of México, with 40%

Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro was ranked 12th, with 32%; and Costa Rica’s Luis Guillermo Solis ranked 17th, with 14%.
