TODAY NICARAGUA – Up to October the IMAE recorded an annual increase of 3.9%, driven by activity in the construction sector, which between January and October this year grew by 21%.

In October, the monthly index of economic activity (IMAE) grew 3.9 percent compared to October last year. Meanwhile, the average annual variation stood at 3.8 percent and cumulative growth in the January-September period was 3.6 percent.
The underlying growth, measured by the number of IMAE cycle trend, reported a growth of 3.9 percent and an average annual growth of 3.7 percent. Meanwhile, the seasonally adjusted IMAE series grew by 0.6 percent compared to September.
