TODAY NICARAGUA (Prensa Latina) President Daniel Ortega said today that Nicaragua has entered a new stage in the context of the Latin American and Caribbean Revolution, marked by the boost of integration initiatives.
During a meeting with Valentina Matvienko, President of the Russian Senate, Ortega highlighted the importance of projects such as the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, which in his view represent a major battlefront.
He also referred to the role of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean (CELAC), the 3rd summit of which will be held in Costa Rica on January 28th and 29th.
“It is an ongoing process, which is growing stronger, giving our region the strength never attained before”, he said.
Ortega said that despite “hegemonic plans causing huge clashes, particularly bloody, in different regions in the world”, Latin America continues to advance and support peace.
