NICARAGUA BUSINESS NEWS – Nicaraguan exports reached US$ 1.9 billion in 2014, exceeding by more than seven percent the amount achieved last year, according to a report released today.
The director of the Center for Export Procedures (CETREX), Jorge Molina, said the sale of Nicaraguan products in the international market will exceed US$ 2.7 billion by the end of December, that number could increase to five billion dollars if you add the exports in the free zones.
As the volume of exports, Molina said, until 7 September, there had been an increase of almost 12 percent over the same period in 2013, with a total of 1.39 million tons, the website El 19 reported.
Recent reports from CETREX said the main products they the country exports are coffee, beef, gold, sugar and peanuts, as the United States, Venezuela, Canada and El Salvador are their main buyers.
