Nicaragua Designs Resort 2021 with a spectacular closure in sustainable fashion

TODAY NICARAGUA – Art, culture and color were revealed on the catwalks this Sunday at the closing of the second edition of Nicaragua Diseña Resort San Juan del Sur 2021.

On their second day, the emerging designers showed through national models, fresh designs, inspired by nature, with bold colors and recycled materials.

The Director of Nicaragua Diseña, Camila Ortega Murillo, stressed that it has been a wonderful experience, to be able to bring to the different spaces of our country a little of what the Nicaragua Diseña platform is.

The designer Justin Andrade participated on this second day with the “Nasci” collection, which in Latin means nature and being born.

“We present designs connected with nature, promoting sustainable fashion, using tablecloths, bedding and curtains, in addition to the use of turmeric as natural dyes.”

“The ND Resort was a very beautiful experience, allowing us to present fresher and more relaxed designs.”

Exhibition of 100% Nicaraguan products

In Nicaragua Diseña Resort, San Juan del Sur edition, the fair expo was also held, which showed products made by Nicaraguan entrepreneurs.

The creative Kiubo brand that is dedicated to manufacturing leather goods participated in the Expo Feria de ND Resort 2021, showing 100% Nicaraguan designs.

“We have necklaces, earrings, wallets, 100% handmade bags and we are happy to participate in this fair, where doors are opened for us, in addition to allowing us to project ourselves nationally and internationally, showing our Nicaraguan crafts,” said Sheyla Cajina of the Kiubo brand.

Botika Nica is a family business that offers 100% natural herbal and seed products, it also participated in this space.

“This platform helps us to make ourselves known to families and thank God our product has been widely accepted,” said Virgilio Cisne.

Nicaragua Designs Resort 2021, allows emerging and entrepreneurial designers to show their creativity, talent, art and originality in different tourist settings, also showing fresh designs, promoting the destinations that our beautiful Nicaragua has.
