
Red marks the spot of the latest earthquake, registering a magnitude of 6.6
(posted April 11, 3:30 pm) — Nicaragua continues to shake violently, registering another sizable earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6, according to the U.S. Geographical Survey.
The 6.6-magnitude quake — the second registering over 6.0 in the past 24 hours — occurred at 2:29 pm, 11 KM south east of Nandaime.
The Nicaraguan government, which has already placed the country on red alert following last night’s 6.2-magnitude quake, is not reporting any new injuries or damages following the second major quake.
