Nicaraguan authorities on Tuesday night at the Peñas Blancas border post handed over to Costa Rica’s immigration service, four individuals, presumably members of the terrorist group Islamic State (EI).

The men were captured on Tuesday by the Nicaraguan Army, who handed them over to the Ortega Police (PO) for their respective deportation.
Three of the men identified by their surname Ibrahim, Eissa and Mohamed were Egyptian nationals and a fourth identified as Yaoob, is of Iraqi nationality.
Costa Rica authorities confirm three of the suspected terrorists entered their country on June 9 coming from Panama.
