In a speech to the Forum, Laura denounced the situation of the Cubans in the northern nation, who, she said, are 15 years in prison without a minimum of evidence that demonstrate their guilt.

She also highlighted the situation of Hernández, who is serving a sentence of two life sentences plus 15 years and is not allowed to receive the visit of his wife, who does not see him since he was detained in 1998.

He also denounced the lack of access of his father to a quality health system.

The prison does not have a good medical service, the United States health system is not suitable for the population in general, much less for those who are in prison, she said.
