Nicaraguan President Ortega Decries US Blockade of Cuba

TODAY NICARAGUA (Prensa Latina) President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega condemned the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on Cuba by the United States, upon arrival in Havana to attend the 13th Summit of the ALBA-TCP integration mechanism, being held today at the Palace of the Revolution.

Ortega reaffirmed Nicaragua’s friendship with the Cuban people and expressed his support for Venezuela, a country that has also been sanctioned by Washington, an action that will not break the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Agreement.

Cuba, Venezuela, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Dominica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines make up ALBA-TCP at present.
