Nicaragua To Spend US$48 million for Sanitation Works

TODAY NICARAGUA – The IDB has approved a grant for funding of sanitation and drinking water works in the city of Bilwi, Puerto Cabezas.

From a statement issued by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB):

Nicaragua will improve water and sanitation with help from the Government of Spain, European Union and the IDB.

More than eleven thousand homes in the city of Bilwi will benefit from the project funded with a grant which will total $48.5 million.

Nicaragua will improve the health conditions of the population of the city of Bilwi (Puerto Cabezas) through the expansion and improvement of drinking water, benefiting more than eleven thousand homes with the help of a grant from the Government of Spain approved by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
